A cocoon shaped basket of tight weave with bamboo insert made for wall hanging by Maeda Chikubosai II enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Kake Kaki (Hanging Flower Receptacle). It is roughly 16 cm (6 plus inches) diameter, 19 cm (7-1/2 inches) tall and is in excellent condition.
Maeda Chikubosai II (1917-2003), was born when his father, Chikubosai I (1872-1950) was already quite mature...
This is a really pretty Milk Glass 8 inch high Wedding Jar with Lid, featuring the hand painted Roses and Bows decoration, made by Westmoreland Glass. This is a really great square milk glass, trimmed in gold, Roses and Bows 10 inch high Wedding or Anniversary candy Jar with lid made by Westmoreland Glass. This Anniversary Jar measures 5 inches square. This was a very special anniversary piece made specifically for a special occasion. A set of two incense items carved from blocks of dried lacquer, the surfaces polished to reveal the various layers and colors of lacquer used in a mottled pattern. Truly quite spectacular despite their diminutive size, the koro is 10 x 6 x 7.5 cm (4 x 2-1/4 x 3 inches), the kogo is 4 cm (1-1/2 inches) diameter and both are in excellent condition.
