This geometric openwork pin depicting snakelike creatures is distinguished by its design, which draws from ancient Mexican imagery. The pin is sturdily made and has a secure C-clasp. It is unsigned but stamped on the back Taxco 980, which indicates a higher-than-sterling silver content. It likely dates from the 1940s-50s. Early Mexico City open backed repousse cuff looks so fabulous without being embossed around the background of the roses because it makes the repousse really pop. This is a 1 10/16th in. wide and the diameter is 2.5in. There are no repairs, no dents and no light holes that come from poorly pressed silver. The roses are brisk and superbly dimensional. An excellent example and fabulous on.

This graceful sterling silver ring is formed as a stylized snake with an impressed band starting at the head and tapering to the tail.
