Living in Kyoto it is not uncommon to come across beautiful antique tea bowls, however, finding pieces that are in good condition, aesthetically compelling, and with all of the trappings that let you know they were cared for by a devoted cha-jin can be quite challenging. Victorian sterling silver lady’s shoe. Made in Birmingham, England in 1890. Dainty slipper with applied bow and satin-textured finish. Plain heal and sole. Fully marked (maker's mark indistinct). Very good condition with strong definition.

German Biedermeier Classical silver tray, ca 1860. Plain oval well. Sides have open border in form of leaves set in ovals. Cast leaf-and-dart rim on lined ground. A practical serving piece with lots of Mitteleuropa charm. Marked. Very good condition.
