Edwardian sterling silver butter dish, ca 1900. Round and deep well. Applied wide and cast rim with open leafing scrollwork and flowers. Liner has ornamental piercing. Fully marked including stamp for Roger Williams, a Providence maker that merged other makers to form the Mt Vernon Company, which in turn was acquired by Gorham in 1913. Also, retailer’s stamp (Foster & Co.) and no. 71S. Very good condition.

Modern Classical sterling silver caviar set. Retailed by Cartier in New York. This set comprises knife and scoop both with reeded cylindrical handle. Bowl and blade clear acrylic. In leather-bound case with fitted velvet and silk lining gilt-stamped “Cartier”. Marks include Italian maker’s (Kosca) and retailer’s stamps. Very good condition. Acrylic intact with no discoloration.
