Raised foot with short support in the bead and ring arrangement that proved influential with other American silversmiths. Fully marked including maker’s stamp and no. 116. Very good condition.

Persian sterling silver pierced ladle. Made by Gorham in Providence, ca 1871. Pointed ovoid terminal with stylized leaf and scroll ornament mounted to round stem with reeded bands set in leaf mount; bowl round and gilt with ornamental piercing and pointed spout. A nice piece in a hard-to-find Aesthetic pattern. Fully marked including maker’s and retailer’s (Bachelders & Co.) stamps. Very good condition.

Royal Danish sterling silver sauce bowl on stand. Made by International in Meriden, Conn. Ovoid bowl with tapering sides and short inset foot. Stand has oval well and wide and tapering sides. At ends are open and embossed acorns and scrolls. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, pattern name, and nos. G23/2 (bowl) and G39 (stand). Very good condition.

Edwardian stoneware match strike with sterling silver collar. Made by Royal Doulton in Lambeth in 1909. Globular with cylindrical interior and silver collar. Applied ornaments include windmill, pipe-smoking peasant, and running dogs. Shaded brown and cream glaze. A homely piece in the Dutch style. Fully marked on underside and collar. Excellent condition.

French Classical silver coffeepot, 18th century. Baluster with silver-mounted stained and turned wood handle. Cover hinged with bud finial. V-form fish-mouth spout. Three hoof supports with oval medallion mounts. Gadrooning, twisted fluting, and ribbon-tied blossoming branch. A key figure in the Japanese folk craft movement of the 20th century, Fujita Kyohei is credited with helping to develop a thriving glass-working community within Japan. Best known for his “dream” or “Liuli” boxes—very colorful and skillfully crafted boxes that often incorporated gold and silver leaf into their designs.
