German sterling silver lady’s shoe. Imported to England by Theodor Hartman in 1902. Shoe has pointy upturned elf toe and open bands. Exterior decorated with scrolls, flowers, and tassel in low relief. Heel plain. German hallmark and English import marks with London city stamp and date letter. Very good condition.

Tall turn-of-the-century Art Nouveau glass decanter with engraved silver overlay. Globular bowl with cylindrical neck and everted rim. Stopper concave with faceted neck. Dense overlay. On bowl are flower heads, entwined scrolls, and trellis between double linear frames joined by beading and terminating in volute scrolls. On neck are shooting tendrils forming arches. Neck and rim in collar as is decanter neck. Glass is clear. Marked and numbered 044. Very good condition.

Large Dutch silver cow creamer, 1910. A sweet beast with stocky body on slender legs and delicate hoofs. Head quizzically turned to side with flexed ears, sharp horns, red cabochon glass eyes, and gaping mouth spout. Flicked back tail handle and hinged back cover. Appears to be unmarked. Pair of Art Deco Classical jade and gilt sterling silver candelabra. Made by Lebkuecher in Newark, ca 1920. Each: Cylindrical jade shaft on same octagonal base with carved petal flutes and fretwork. Curvilinear silver gilt arms with block volute terminals mounted to shaft with same; each terminates in single jade socket on silver gilt leaf-and-dart mount. Raised central socket same. Ornamented silver gilt mounts on shaft top and base. Rests on silver gilt foot with block volute supports.

This tall and lovely Hagi chawan rests firmly on a wari kodai or “split foot” pedestal that is unglazed—displaying the coarse rich clay. The crackled milky glaze covers the curves and contours of the bowl, contrasting dramatically between the foot and the clay body. Chinese-style bowl, ca 1920. Mottled green hardstone urn on silver gilt fretwork base with 4 splayed supports. A pretty ornament that works as an ashtray with silver gilt leaf cradle mounted to rim. Marked “Edward I Farmer / Sterling”. Very good with nice toning. Rim has a few fleabite irregularities.
