Hand forged with an integrated hilt, comprised broad, double-edged tapering flat blade with visible on the one face incised three slender fullers that run down from a rectangular panel incised on ricasso below the hilt. Pair of rare antique late 17th century or early 18th century, Islamic Persian Safavid dynasty saddle stirrups entirely hand forged from a single piece of thick solid iron. Each arched form is adorned with incised decoration rising to a strap loop, at the top flanked by two opposing swan heads with the eyes inlaid with turquoises stones and oval footplate. On one side of each stirrup there is a short branch of a rectangular spur with a notched edge.

This is a large and exquisite antique Japanese cloisonné-enamel and embossed-foil (ginbari) Akasuke (Pigeon Blood) footed bowl with a lid and silvered mounts.
