Ancient pre-Columbian polychrome ceramic zoomorphic vessel from the Guanacaste Nicoya culture of the 6th Period, 1000-1550 AD. The vessel is supported on a low pedestal foot and has a protruding animal head containing a rattle. It is painted all around with geometric patterns in shades of orange, brown, and black on a cream base.
