A breathtaking Tsubo by LNT Tokuda Yasokichi III enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Yusai Sen Mon Tsubo and bearing the signature Yasukichi in gold, indicating it was fired after he succeeded the family name and date to his last years. An inspiring sake set showing a plethora of Yohen kiln effects by Nakamura Makoto, each piece enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Bizen Yohen Hyotan Tokkuri and Bizen Sake-nomi respectively. Over the pale, sheer clay deposits of ash glaze, goma kasu and hi-iro scorching combine with smoky black staining for a very unique experience. The perfect compliment to the charms of a good bottle of sake.

This piece comes off like it has been buried in a volcano, incredible igneous encrustations cover the sides, with molten ash, bidoro, goma, kutsuki and a host of other firing enclosed in the original signed wooden box. To one side a crescent moon shaped kutsuki forms a rakish grin, inviting the viewer to join in the merriment. It is a masterpiece by this young artist.

There is no doubt about the superlative nature of the deep celadon glazes used by Living National Treasure Nakajima Hiroshi, and this vessel is no let down. The surface is darkly crackledf like a block of shattered ice the color of a carribean lagoon.

Red highlights the orange and white on this playful form vase by Kato Yasukage enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Shino Hanaire and signed by the 14th Generation Yasukage followed by his seal. The pin-holed glaze burnt and licked crimson by the flames. The way the color fades into the white feldspar one can almost imagine the smoke rising off of the molten form as it cooled in the kiln.

The artists famous Jomon rope impressions are visible in filled slip about the center,covered in salt glaze, resulting in a burnished blue,green and Yohen colors giving light to the heavy form.
