A lovely and extremely rare, large version of a Wheel-lock pistol in Noble quality, Germany, Augsburg, c. 1570-1580.

Mangle boards are rarely seen dated earlier than 1700s and this is a significant piece, carved in a wonderful geomethric style with micro carving of tiny details. Dated at the top and initialized further down.

Probably, our finest and surely the heaviest silver icon, we've had for a while! Russian Orthodox icon with an amazing wrought and chisseled Oklad, dating 1871.

This is NOT the usual foliage thin silver sheet oklad but a a heavy thick hammered and chisseled silver oklad in a baroque style with relief heads in each corner and weighing several 100s of grams in .84 silver.
