A very early and seldomly encountered brass bucket with handle and openwork iron lid for storing fresh fish, Germany, early 18th. century.

The fine bucket with an iron openwork lid that can be opened in both sides. Typical wear and soldering during the time of use, othervise intact and attractive.

Size: 28 cm. tall incl. fixed handle. The diameter is c. 20 cm.

Such and early European iron key is not something you will see on the market every day. A complicated slot with a cross and a round bow, typical for the medieval period.

The key can be dated to the 13th.-14th. century, Northern European.

A very decorative and large antique Hall Lantern, with a lotus in the base since it was meant to hang high, and a crown at the top, Northern European, 18th. century.

A lantern as elaborate and large as this would have adorned a high ceiling hall in a big mansion or estate. The lantern was made of brass and bell-metal and has a hinge at the front so it could be opened for change of candles.

A lovely very early and seldomly encountered German brass bucket with handle, dated and initialized to 1714!

The fine bucket hammered in repousee with some wonderful high relief depictions of leafs and cluster of grapes in the baroque manor. On the front a medallion with an inscription, which reads, GHENDT ANNO 1714. The bucket with an implement for a missing lid on the back. Typical wear and soldering during the time of use.

A heavy bronze not for table use, fine details cast decoration, probably Flemish, c. 1550!

The early piece of bronze art is decorated with what looks like saints (old bearded men) on the sides and a framed band of angels with spread wings among floral decor nearer the top.

SizE: 17 cm. tall and 14 cm. wide. Weight: 2 kilograms.

Condition: F-VF for the very early type. A stress crack from use and a few chips to the rim. Lovely mahogany and green patina.

Highly interesting and early stoneware tankard or Stein / Krug, probably Westerwald around 1580-1600 AD.

The renaissance tankard is moulded with a central frieze of six arcaded panels of courtly life, war, soldiers and a siege of a city. A rare stoneware pitcher with salt glaze. Full-bellied shape with wide conical neck and flat handle. The base is festooned with “thumb” marks. The body is decorated with three medallions depicting a woman. A type called Trichterhalskrug in German. This stoneware pitcher was made in the Siegburg region in the 15th/16th century. It is covered with a fine salt glaze.

A lovely finial of an Eagles head, European, Gothic style, renaissance, c. 16th. century or earlier, mounted as a part of an attractive double iron coat hook and plate, dated 1823.

The substantial finial still with remnants of old gilt and the iron coat hook, finely dated and initialized in the late 18th. century manor. A nice marriage, probably made in the late 18th.-early 19th. century.

A rare and very large medical grade brass mortar with Dolphin handles, after Dutch model, Dutch or Northern European, c. 1690-1700.

An elegant mortar with concenthric lines and a gothic design with the wide mouth and two dolphin handles applied at the waist. The mortar comes with the original pestle. Such a large size and fine execution mortar for the period, would have been made for a pharmacy.

A lovely group of very early Dutch snuff or tobacco boxes, some of which are late 17th. century, other early-mid 18th. century. two with an oval form, and two with the usual elongated form with cobber sides, typical for the mid 18th. century.

In the group several rare depictions such as a full size gentleman and a box with medallions, some with texts etc.

Size: 12,3-15,8 cm. long.

Condition: F-VF, some with wear from polishing, others nice and quite clear.

An interesting small collection of 9 bone carvings in the form of skulls, carved in the openwork, with lids at top and bottom, Tibetan c. 19th. century.

The group finely patinated and intact but some with loose lids. A set for ritual purposes.

Size: up to c. 3,3 cm. tall or less, but more of less of the same sizes.

Provenance: Collection of Gunna Munkvad, Denmark, aquired from the 1950s-1980s.

A luxery set for 6 persons flatware cutlery and including also a larger knife and fork for cutting the meat, France 18th. century. (14 pieces total).

Highly elaborate with silver settings, incl. finials and fine floral inlays, high polished tortoise shafts and the knifes marked with a Lilly on the top of the blades.

A scarce and attractive laten spoon with figural top in an unusual condition with preserved gilding, English c. 1630.

The top with a half length female bust and having a wire ‘gulley’ down the flat and bevelled tapering stem and a round touchmark in the oval bowl. The touchmark unusually crisp with the three keys and the lettering for the maker in London.

Size: 16,9 cm. long.

Condition: Extremely fine, superb metal for these, intact. Really nice.
