Extremely rare figure of Buddha in Gilt Silver of a great Kandyan style, Sri Lanka, Kandy district, 18th.-19th. century.

Standing on a modern teak base with his right hand raised in abhaya mudra. Wearing a sanghati draped over his left shoulder with finely carved folds. His serene face with downcast eyes, with long pierced earlobes and his hair surmounted by a flame-shaped finial.
