A lot of 4 knapped silex points from the private collection of P.F. Wulff. We're selling this very old collection in smaller lots to give everyone a chance to own a small piece of the pre-historic Americas!

Lovely lot with some very elaborately knapped types in different kinds of fine stones. The lot includes types from c. 8.000 BC or earlier to perhaps as late as 2000 BC, more research is needed to accurately date each point. The Paleo-Indian knapping skills are among the highest we've seen for such early cultures anywhere on the planet, and this lot shows some good examples of their skills.

Size: 34-39 mm. each.

Condition: Average EF, nice patinas.

P.F. Wulff collection (c. 1900-1920): The Collection consists of a great mixture of types of smaller to larger spears and arrows, in finely patinated silex and other stones. They were found from across USA, with in the mid-western states and others further south.

Wulff mailed his collection to a Danish receiver in the 1920s-1930s. Then the collection was sold to Steen Stroemberg at auction (famous antiques and antiquities dealer in Copenhagen) in the 1960s. He was a frequent buyer at Br. Rasmussen. We bought from the Estate of Stroemberg.
