Originates from a group of varied tablets sizes that were excavated, most likely from the foundations of an ancient Buddhist temple, placed there to ensure success and prosperity. A Genuine SONG DYNASTY BLACK CERAMIC POT with 2 intact loops and rare vertical incision décor lines. Size: 8.5 cm diameter. This SONG DYNASTY POT was found in the Musi River, close to Palembang City, which was the Capital of the SRIVIJAYA KINGDOM and which had a vast trade network with China and Siam. Condition overall good, no cracks, chips nor restorations. Shine from Black glaze faded because of many years under water/current. Fine specimen for Collectors!
