This album silk painting mounted on heavy gold paper depicts a mountainous landscape with trees and is dramatically rendered with a flying bird of prey (Hawk?), it's hunting instinct drawn to a flying bird. Overall good condition. Size 9.75" x 8.25" framed (25 cm. x 21 cm.)

Printed in 1884, this fine woodblock depicts Hideyoshi Toyotomi blowing a mouth organ as well as other famous warriors, before the attack on the fortress/castle of Tottori in 1581. A nice Shakyamuni Marble Shan State Buddha touching the earth (subduing Mara) with nice detailed carving and some gilding, sitting on a lotus base. Condition very good, heavy object. Size: H. 18" x W. 11.5" x D. 7.5" (46 cm. x 29 cm. x 19 cm.) excluding stand. Comes mounted on a nice black stand.

A very rare and large 18th Century AMARAPURA Wooden BUDDHA, Burma, seated on a Lotus flower base, subduing Mara. Beautiful gilding on black lacquer patina and inlaid with small colored mirror pieces. Good overall condition. Left side of base (not the Buddha itself) has an inconsequential fissure due to the considerable age and climatic conditions. Size: H. 115 cm. x W. 70 cm. x D. 46 cm.
