Very rare Crowned AMARAPURA Buddha in Royal Attire subduing Mara, gilded wood with lacquer on red patina, finely coloured glass-mirror inlays which point to the early Konbaung Period (1752-1885). The back of the Throne has a niche (opening) used for relics. Condition: good, some fissures due to age which adds character to this absolutely stunning and important collector's item, size H.55cm x W. 26cm x D. 22cm

Antique Shan State Bronze RAIN BUDDHA on original Platform/Base. 18th Century, Burma. The Buddha is refined and serene with downcast eyes and both arms pendant by the sides in "Calling for Rain" position. Nice natural Verdigris patina and difficult to find. One of the back base supports has been repaired, but is inconsequential and unnoticeable. Size: H. 10cm x W. 3.5cm x D. 9 cm.

Shan State Papier Mache Buddha with brown worn lacquer patina, 19th Century Burma, size: H. 57cm x W. 32cm x D. 20cm, both hands are missing, very serene expression

Exceptionally large and serene lacquer antique Buddha dressed in royal robes, intricately inlaid with inset flat glass/mirror mosaics backed with colored foil and further decorated with moulded relief work forming beautiful spirals. The Buddha is seated in "bhumisparshamudra" (subduing Mara); his left hand rests palm upward, on his lap, and the right hand rests on his right knee, calling the Earth to witness. He has elongated earlobes to demonstrate his princely parentage, and a very kind, pleas...
