Large iron and hakuji glazed chawan by Mashiko potter; Nishida Shinya. Boldly glazed chawan with vivid deep crimson and plum flashes running through the glaze all on a earth tone stoneware clay body.

This chawan is in perfect condition and measures 5.75" X 3" and comes complete with its signed box...

This highly animated and perfection in porcelain vase was made by Hokkaido native; Ono Kotaro. The deeply carved seiji vase is actually has a very pale yellow crazed glaze which collects on the ridges and further accentuates the cyclone like movement of this pot. As you look around the vase, the deep ridges bring the eye up the pot and it actually appears to be in motion...

At nearly 13" tall, this large Persian blue style glazed vase cuts a great figure flanked by bold and detailed brushed of owls rendered within medallions and further detailed with patterns of decoration and faint gold accents to complete the piece...

Tall and imposing Hagi vase form made by kurinuki master, Kaneta Masanao. At over 14" tall, the vessel is impressive and commands its space much like an ancient medieval citadel. The pot is glazed in a Shiro-Hagi glaze that has significant areas of blushed pinkish hues over half of the form and vivid areas of intense white speckles adorning the absolute purity of the form...

Oval combed slip covered serving piece with Ao glaze and red, yellow and green overglaze emamels. The foot was glazed and fired on wads just for the effect it presents.

This very robust and Momoyama influenced vase was made by Mino potter and part magician, Hori Ichiro. Thrown out of a grainy, off white mogusa clay and decorated in blades of grass on the front and side, the pot was finished off with Hori's classic Shino glaze and fired in his wood kiln. Though difficult to see in the photos, there is a sheen around the neck, mouth and other areas created by a very thin layer of ash has adhered to the surface making for a very interesting addition to the glaze...
