Bold, exquisitely hand crafted turquoise and sterling ribbed bracelet by Navajo silversmith Johnny Mike Begay. Begay worked at the White Hogan Shop in Scottsdale, Arizona as well as privately and won numerous awards for his jewelry which can be found in many private and museum collections. His work was featured in the 2002 exhibit “Jewels of the Southwest” at the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This cuff measures 5 3/4" around in the inside plus a 1 1/2" opening. It is 1 1/4" wide in the front at center stone and is 1" at the terminals.The center turquoise is 1 1/4" across and 7/8" down. The bracelet is in fine condition and there are no chips or cracks to the stones. It weighs 72.2 grams and is signed JMB as shown. A magnificent and highly collectible piece.
