A beautiful mid-century modern sterling and azur-malachite necklace and matching clip earrings by Erika Hult de Corral. Erika trained as an artist in Paris and then moved to Taxco in the 60s. She apprenticed with Sigi Pineda and his influence is surely reflected in the spectacular design of these pieces. The necklace measures 19" long and is 1 1/8" wide at the front. It has a secure push in clasp. The earrings measure 3/4" long and 1/2" wide. All pieces are in fine original condition and hallmarked with the "RIC" hallmark and the eagle mark as shown in the photo. This is a wonderful Modernist Mexican set by a terrific female Taxco silversmith.
