A nice mid-size 19th c celadon vase, with a well-proportioned form and lovely light bluish-green glaze. The trumpet-neck and ribbed body copies an earlier Southern Song kinuta celadon vases.

Condition: Perfect antique condition. Original firing flaws to the inside of the vase neck...

This vase is of a fine, stately hexagonal shape, molded with archaic kuilong designs reminiscent of ancient Chinese bronze work. The celadon glaze is delicate in its greenish-blue shade, and quite thick. The paste is also quite good for 19th century.

A Jiaqing mark and period circular dish, covered in a rich and bubbly cobalt blue glaze. Surface wear suggest that this dish had once been gilt-decorated with a dragon among clouds. The roughly written mark is typical for non-official wares of this period.
