Pair of Chinese antique Shiwan vases covered in a thick brilliant white/blue glaze from the kilns of Guangdong. The glaze stopping just inside the top of the vase and short of the base revealing the buff biscuit. Rimmed and mounted in ormolu. The ormolu's have markings, but I cannot make them out. Age: 19th Century or earlier (Qing Dynasty). Size: Approximately 8-1/4" high (including base) by 3-3/4" diameter Condition: One of the vases is in good condition, no chips or cracks. The other vase had the top rim on one side broken and repaired. The top fitting ormolu for this vase was never glued back on. The repair that was done can be easily taken apart to allow a professional repair to restore back to it's original glory.
