A Chinese stoneware figure of a seated deity, thickly glazed in a grey crackle. Seated in a high back raised chair with a tortoise with a snake on top between his feet. Prayer square hole in the back of the chair. Un-glazed base recessed base. No markings. Age: Ming Dynasty Size: Approximately 9" High by 3-1/2" Depth by 4-1/2" Wide Condition: Overall in good condition. Some slight chipping (Please refer to pictures) Provenance: Formally in the collection of Eugene DeGruson (curator of special collections and archivist at Pittsburg State University)
