This is a rare Chinese gourd teapot with a rounded handle. The lid made from a gourd plant also with a wooden base. The teapot has a wooden rim and base. On one side is a front facing five-clawed dragon and the other side is a phoenix in flight. The top rim is decorated with leaves. The side with the handle has a bat and underneath the handle the has the "Sanduo" design of the three fruits. The spout side has two bats and a mark on the actual spout. The base has a seal enclosed in a double border. Size: Approximately 8.5" high by 8.5" wide by 5" depth Condition: Good condition Age: Qing Dynasty to Republic
