This handsome pin is simple yet smart, hand wrought with incised details. It is formed as a jagged-edge leaf and bears the mark of Bob Ford, Canada; it is also marked handmade. Ford was a founding member in 1946 of the Ontario Metal Arts Guild, according to an internet source. The pin tests as sterling although it is not marked for silver content. It measures 1 ¾ inches long by 1 ½ inches wide. Weight: 6.3 grams

Composed of gilded sterling, this delicate necklace features four-lobed stylized florals in white enamel, with translucent enameled centers imitiating half-pearls. It is marked with the David-Andersen scales, and the designer’s mark of Willy Winnaess. Secure, original hardware on both necklace and earrings, which are clip backs. Engraved with an elongated diamond pattern on rectangular panels, with ovular anchor links, these 1960s cuff links have a modern, angular look. The bridge bars bear the maker’s mark of Bernhard Hertz, Copenhagen (1936- ). All connections are in good working order; the cuff links show hardly any wear. A delicate necklace of double rows of green and white enameled flowers on gilded sterling, from the 1960s. There is an unidentified maker’s mark on the tongue and groove clasp, which is also marked sterling and Norway. The necklace measures 14 ½ inches long and ¾ inch wide. Weight: 64.4 grams

Composed of a trapezoidal enamel center of a red-orange and black mottled design, within a pierced cast sterling frame of geometric designs. The frame is of irregular width and is enhanced with oxidation. The C-clasp is secure; the matte-finish back is marked ”STG. SIL,” usually attributed to Australia or New Zealand, with the unidentified maker’s mark, possibly FM. The piece measures 1 ¾ inches long by 1 1/4 inches wide. Weight: 13.3 grams

Composed of a diamond-shaped sterling silver pendant suspended from a chain of curled and flattened sterling wire and amethyst glass beads. The pendant is constructed of separate triangular pieces attached to a central frame of curled wires. The back of the pendant is marked sterling. The entire necklace measures 13 ½ inches long (chain is doubled); the pendant alone measures 4 inches long by 2 1/8 inches wide.

This bracelet is composed of folded panels incised with a Precolumbian-style motif. It is secured by a hook clasp and bears the circular mark of A. Munoz surrounding a 925 to indicate sterling. The bracelet measures just over 7 inches long by ¾ inch wide. Weight: 30.3 grams

This bracelet exhibits a classic Scandinavian style extremely popular during the 1950s and 1960s. The dramatic enameling is in vivid colors, featuring panels of Nordic scenes alternating with blue and white cloisonne panels. The tongue and groove clasp is very secure and bears the mark of Ottar Hval, of Oslo. The bracelet measures 7 ½ inches long by 5/8 inch wide. Weight: 26.4 grams

This sophisticated, cleanly designed ring features an onyx cabochon mounted in the center of a carnelian disc, set in 14kt gold. Both stones are in lovely condition; the gold band is unmarked, but has been tested for gold content. The ring dates from the 1960s, and has a classy, "mod" look that reads mid- to late 1960s. The setting measures about 3/4 inch in diameter and about 1/4 inch high. The ring is a size 6 1/2-7.

Formed as a stylized starburst of forged wire with a central sterling silver bead, this pin is based on the Joseph Skinger design, but made and signed by Martin Lasak. The pin has a delicate look but is sturdily made. The back sports a secure rollover clasp, as well as a sterling mark. Lasak, of Bar Harbor, Maine, was trained by and worked for Joe Skinger during the 1960s in Skinger's Vermont studio, according to Joe's daughter Carol. The Skinger design is titled 'Snowflake.' The pin measures 1 1/4 inches in diameter. Weight: 3.1 grams

This silver bracelet is composed of a complex series of interwoven links, some cast to appear as wound with wires. The tongue-and-groove clasp is quite secure, and there are jump rings for connecting a safety chain if needed. The back of the clasp is marked Argentina with an obscured lozenge mark that most likely indicates silver content, likely .900. The bracelet shows a strong test for silver. It measures 7 ½ inches long by about ½ inch wide. Weight: 26.4 grams

Sterling ring of adjustable design decorated with white guilloche enamel in a geometric motif. The enamel shows no damage or wear, and the ring is at its original size. It bears the mark of Aksel Holmsen of Sandefjord, Norway. It is a size 5.

Composed of two rectangular layers of sterling silver, top one curved and with a cutout comma-shaped design exposing a highly oxidized interior. The ring is marked sterling and has Joseph Skinger’s script signature mark. Skinger was a Vermont studio metalsmith who was most productive during the 1950s and 1960s; he died in 1967. I am told by Carol Skinger, Joe's daughter, that the design is known as 'Mountain Shadow' and was produced as choker necklaces, bracelets and pins. The top of the ring measures ¾ inch by 5/8 inch. This lovely bracelet is decorated with white guilloché enameled rectangular panels alternating with similar square ones featuring dark blue flowers. The silver is highly gilded; the tongue-and-groove clasp is original and in good working order. The bracelet bears the mark of Norwegian maker David-Andersen. A substantial sterling silver chain bracelet composed of two- and three-loop interlocking links. It has an unusual hook closure formed from a rolled panel of silver. It is marked 925 at one end and measures 7 ½ inches long by 1 ¼ inches wide. Weight: 60.6 grams

Here is an elegant ring featuring six faceted pieces of smoky quartz mounted in a star-shaped sterling silver setting. A central silver star sits at the top. The band is marked sterling, and the stones show no signs of wear. The ring is sized 5 ¾; it sits 5/8 inch high.
