This elegant link bracelet has the look and feel of a much more expensive piece, but is made of silver gilt and set with faceted pieces of glass meant to imitate amandine garnets. The seven scrolled cast panels are highly detailed and are linked with connecting rings that are seamlessly fused closed. The spring ring is original to the bracelet and in good working order, and the attached end panel bears the mark 800 for silver content as well as what appear to be the maker’s initials of H.F.W. The bracelet measures 7 ½ inches long by 5/8 inch wide. It’s probably from the 1950s-1960s. Gross weight: 19.6 grams

A beautifully executed pin that features a bezel-mounted oval dyed green chalcedony or chrysoprase, surrounded by a layer of leafy flowers and berries. This layer is composed of cast pieces individually applied to a serpentine wirework frame reminiscent of late arts and crafts design; dating would be 1930s or 1940s. The pin has a lovely patina from age and the stone retains its highly polished surface, exhibiting hardly any wear. The rollover clasp is very secure. The pin is probably American, and is marked sterling on the back; there is no discernible maker's mark. It measures 1 ¾ inches across; the stone measures ¾ inches long by just over ½ inch wide.

These charming earrings have a delicate look but are sturdily made; they sit vertically on the ear. The screw backs are quite secure, and are marked sterling. The center of one bow shows a small manufacturing flaw. The earrings measure 1 inch long by 5/8 inch . Weight: 6.6 grams total

These delicate-looking, lacy links are actually form quite a substantial chain necklace. The links have a clever twist, but still lie nicely when worn. A jump ring at the end bears largely illegible marks, but one appears to have a European shape. The chain tests strongly for silver, with a content of at least .800. Evoking a sophisticated and cosmopolitan look, this Italian silver bracelet features five textured curved rings linked by bars inlaid with strips of turquoise enamel. A lobed, openwork pendant suspended from a v-shaped, flexible neck ring. The neck ring is dated 1975, and bears the city mark for Koeping; the maker’s mark of BFH is unidentified. The pendant is dated 1971, and bears the maker’s mark of Alton, the city mark for Falköping, and the mark of designer Theresia Hvorslev. The widest resting point of the neck ring measures a little over 4 ½ inches; the pendant measures 1 7/8 inches long. Weight of pendant: 8.4 grams. Neck ring weight: at least 10 grams

This handmade ring features a substantial domed top of cross-hatched openwork and an adjustable band. It dates around 1960-1970, and bears the marks of husband and wife designers Else Berntsen Hughes and Paul Hughes, including the H mark for their workshop, Studio Else and Paul. The ring is sized approximately 4 ½-5 and can be adjusted slightly larger by a competent jeweler. Weight: 10.5 grams

This disc pin features a large faceted citrine in a bold prong setting. The stone has a light yellow-brown tinge and shows no signs of damage or wear. It is quite secure in its mount. The disc has a warm patina from age; the piece dates conservatively 1960-1970. The back has a secure rollover clasp and bears the marks for Mexican silver (eagle 42, circular 925 Sterling) as well as the maker’s mark for Los Ballesteros. There appears to have been a pendant bale or hook that has been removed. The pin measures 1 5/8 inches in diameter.

These unmarked Mexican earrings feature lacy wirework on a half-moon-shaped frame. They test strongly for silver and sit perpendicular to the ear. They date from the 1950s and are secured by kidney wires with hooks. They measure 1 3/8 inches long by ¾ inch wide. Weight: 7 grams total

These petite earrings feature central disks of faux turquoise set in pinwheel-like frames, reminiscent of southwest U.S. or Mexican design. They have working screw backs and can be easily converted to posts. The screws are marked sterling with a capital F in circle, possibly for George H. Fuller & Son, Pawtucket, RI. (The mark may apply to the fittings only.) They measure ½ inch in diameter.

Featuring a clean impressed linear decoration enhanced with oxidation, this unmarked bangle looks to have been inspired by Mexican or Native American design of the U.S. Southwest. It has a graduated width and interesting, irregular-shaped terminals. There is a little bit of give in the fit, but the bracelet is quite strong and has retained its shape. It tests definitively for sterling silver. The bangle has an inner circumference of just under 8 inches and measures 2 3/8 inches across the opening. The width ranges from 1/4 inch to just over 3/4 inch at the terminals. Weight: 47.1 grams

An enameled violin is suspended from an enameled treble clef, both enhanced with marcasite. The clef bears a rollover clasp on the back, and the violin is marked Germany/sterling silver. When worn with the clef at a slight angle, the 1960s pin measures approximately 2 inches long by ¾ inch wide at the violin. Weight: 5.2 grams

An elegant, early 20th-century pin decorated with tour á guilloché enamel within wire reserves. A mauve zigzag pattern borders a diamond-pattern white center bisected by silver wire and a band of mauve. Gold stars and flying birds are embedded around the edge and at each end. It has a strong pin stem that hooks into a hooded C-clasp. The back is marked sterling and ‘Genuine Cloisonne’; it bears the maker’s mark of Watson Co. of Attleboro, MA. The pin measues 2 inches long by 1 ¾ inches wide. Weight: 9.9 grams

A highly decorative piece in gilded sterling silver designed with a graceful movement, this starfish pin has a rich, textured look. It features yellow-green guilloche enamel with raised graduated disks running down each arm enameled in white. The entire piece is jag edged, and has a convex shape. A charming piece composed of a sterling silver fish pendant on its original chain, this necklace exhibits the fine workmanship typical of mid-century Italian jewelry. A heavy, organic design distinguishes this handmade Mexican ring from its contemporaries. The stone is set within a vine-like mount, and is highly polished, fiery, showing very little wear. The ring band and mount have somewhat of a rough, handcrafted look, and the surface has a robust patina from age. It dates c. 1960, and is partially marked Mexico on the inner band on one side, and 925 with another mark starting with M that could be for Mexico or the maker’s initials. The outer band shows a worn Eagle 2. The ring is approximately a size 8 ½; the top measures approximately 1 inch by 1 inch.
