Fabulous huge silver and onyx bracelet Mexico, c.1942. Mayan design has three onyx pieces (backed in silver)measuring almost 1" diameter and rising 5/8". Signed "MEXICO SILVER" and in excellent condition except that some of silver rounds are a bit dented at one section. Bracelet is 1 1/2" wide and the inside circumference is 7". Mixed metals(pewter,copper, brass) footed bowl showing a pouncing lizard by Los Castillo, Mexico, c.1950. Tray is large and measures 16 1/2" by 9 1/2" by 2" high. Wonderful example of the William Spratling deco design scroll pin of silver and copper, Mexico, c.1945. This classic piece is beautifully hand made and signed "SPRATLING SILVER(in oval) WS(around which says) SPRATLING MADE IN MEXICO". Early sterling bolo with Mayan design on a brown leather braided thong with the fabulous cactus-design ends, Mexico, c.1942. Hand made of heavy gauge silver, the bolo(1 1/8" long by 1 1/4" wide) shows a framed Mayan figure with a recessed oxydized background highlighting the figure. The two ends are silver cactii(each 1 3/8" long). They are just incredible! Signed "SCH STERLING TAXCO HECHO EN MEXICO (bellmark)3" and is in excellent condition but bolo needs a good cleaning.....$10 USA for insure...

Pair of nautilus-shaped silver and ebony handmade ashtrays by William Spratling, Mexico, c.1940. More a work of art than anything, this lush silver design sits on a silver base which then sits on a rectangular ebony base. Sterling repousee bracelet by Los Castillo, Mexico, c.1947. This is part of a two piece necklace/bracelet set, each offered separately. Hand made of very heavy gauge silver(50 gms), each of the curved 5-links measures 3/4" wide by 1 1/2". The entire bracelet is approx. 7 3/4" long and has a safety chain. Presented is the larger of the two Fred Davis silver boxes being offered. Classic hand made silver box with onyx Mayan face made by Fred Davis, Mexican designer, c.1930. Famous, large and very heavy brass and tile hand wrought footed box showing HENS by Salvador Teran, Mexico, c.1952. Design shows 5 hens heads on top set in black tiles all around the box. The hinged inside is brass as is the bottom. The inside has a black patina which shows it has interacted with another material(see photo) but doesn't affect the integrity of the piece and could be removed. Rare blue tile and brass footed pitcher of Mayan figure design by Salvador Teran, Mexico, c.1955. Handwrought and very heavy weight, the brass pitcher has a band of blue tiles going down the handle and around the center of the body with 6 brass Mayan figures. Silver dragon head pin copying that of William Spratling by Serafin Moctezuma, Mexico, c.1950's. Much to the annoyance of Spratling, Moctezuma copied his designs, including the mark "SM", which when turned upside down, looks like a stylized WS, similar to that of Spratling. This great little Mayan dragon head, stands on its own and is quite charming. The pin measures 1 3/8" long by 1" wide. It is signed "980 SM TAXCO" and is in excellent condition. Letter opener hand made of sterling, brass, and copper by Los Castillo, Mexico, c.1940. Well executed married metals design on front and back comprise the top of the piece. It is signed "LOS CASTILLO TAXCO STERLING MEXICO #58" and was made before the bellmark system was instituted by the Mexican gov't. in 1947.
