This diminutive black basalt wax seal was made by Wedgwood in the late 18th C. as a protest against slavery and features Hercules. The condition is nearly immaculate with no defects to report. The hole at the top was to attach to a lanyard or neck chain or necklace. This item is quite rare and collectible. Dimension: 7/8" h

A very rare cast iron fireplace tool set with caddy includes tongs, poker, and shovel. The caddy in enameled in black over a white primer, a clue to help dating of the set. The caddy is formed of rectilinear lines with a bird with large plumes in the center. Each of the tools has a ring for either grabbing or hanging. A rare and fantastic Swiss Bells in Sight music box made of inlaid mahogany having 10 airs. The sound is beautifully nostalgic. It has 9 bells which chime with flower and bird strikers. The box is wound by a brass crank concealed on the left in a well. There are levers for starting, stopping; and enabling the chimes.
