A large Flower vase made by the Ando Cloisonne Company at the turn of the 19th Century. The vase has a beautiful enameled scene of mountains and flying geese. Regrettably this marvelous work of art has been damaged. The vase is done in wired, wireless, and other cloisonne techniques for which the Ando Company is known for. This vase is of the highest quality for the art of cloisonne and is signed with the special mark of Jubei Ando. A vase with this mark was made for presentation, exhibit, or Imperial commission. The vase also has the Jungin mark which indicates pure silver. The vase comes with the original custom made lined box and the original carved rosewood stand. The vase measures 12 1/2" tall x 9" in diameter. The condition is fair. The damage is limited to the neck area of the vase which shows several cracks and other small imperfections (see pictures). The Japanese notation on the box lid translates to: "Cloisonne, Hora Mountain, Flower Vase, Jubei." Buyer is asked to pay shipping.
