A small cylindrical container made of brass with a domed cover with close fitting. With engraved decoration in horizontal bands, the widest with four medallions each containing a figure at leisure. Its function is not obvious, maybe an ink pot (davat) or a container for tobacco or spices. From an old Swiss collection. Condition: good, few tiny dents. Dimension: 7.0 cm high, diameter: 2.9 cm, weight: 56 g.

A Qajar sherbet spoon carved from light, varnished wood, made in two parts with a long rhomboid handle joined to the boat-shaped bowl-section by a slot. Dimension: 27.8 cm long x 3.9 cm wide.

Blue silk ground with embroidery in Peking knot and satin stitch, showing peonies and auspicious symbols. Bordered with later, patterned fabric and backed with silk. Condition: few small stains. Dimension: 58.5 cm long x 22.3 cm wide.

Two interesting brown velvet panel fragments with botehs and flowers in silk embroidery and embellished with gilt and silvered sequins. Origin could also be Central Asia. Two unmounted vintage albumen photographs dating from the 1880's. One depicting a mansion probably in Mandalay, the second showing a group of young Burmese monks returning to their monastery after begging their daily food, by the Italian photographer Felice Beato (1832-1909). Condition: faded and wavy, one with a small stain. Dimension: 19.6 cm x 26.4 cm, 19.9 cm x 25.9 cm.

A hair ornament made of gilt silver, showing a vase with flowers. Reverse with Chinese character hallmark. Condition: fine, little wear to gilding. Dimension: 11.5 cm long x 2 cm wide, weight: 8 g.

A fragment of a large hanging, depicting a kneeling Persian nobleman betweeen two horsemen. Embroidered in chain stitch on a coarse weave.
