A Chinese Canton enamel bowl and saucer finely painted with lotus scrolls on a ruby-red ground and some golden highlights. The underside of the quatrefoil shaped dish with two coiled dragons. Condition: some stress hairlines, the base of the dish with a small flake. Fine - regarding the age and delicacy of the material. Please consult the photos, they make part of the condition report. A lovely wood carving of a dancing Hindu goddess, the face and the sarung meticulously painted. Provenance: from the same estate like the Peranakan sarung. Condition: some cracks, paint with few losses and wear. Dimension: c. 30 cm high.

A fine rectangular filigree silver box with hinged lid, standing on four ball feet. Originating country may be India or Indonesia. No silvermark found. Condition: some small losses (the front within the heart shaped decoration, cover with two missing granulation pieces). Slightly distorted areas. Dimension: 9.7 cm x 6.3 cm x 5.8 cm, weight: 111 g.

Rectangular composite panel of antique embroideries from the Ottoman Empire. The basic fabrics are different plain weaves, embroidered with silk and few metal wrapped threads, composed and sewn together in the Ottoman city of Salonika or Kavala. For similar example please refer to "Textiles of the Islamic World" by John Gillow: page 31 with illustration. Condition: allover good, occasionally little losses to embroidery. Dimension: 113 cm x 118 cm.

An ornately worked, chased and engraved jug with dancing Burmese figures in repoussé. The handle in the form of an ogre. The spout might be a later addition, it is only silver plated. Base engraved "Moung Oung Myal 1875". No mark, silver tested. Condition: the ogre of the handle with a small loss, otherwise fine. Dimension: 11 cm high, weight: 382 g.

A carved and painted Tibetan wood brush used by Buddhist monks for the destruction ceremony of sand painted Mandalas. Made from carved and painted hardwood with animal hair and a copper loop. Condition: few traces of usage, good patina, small chip. Dimension: total length: 20.8 cm, 11.7 cm wide, 3 cm deep.

An antique Japanese manju sagemono carved from a stag antler rose. The top showing attributes of the Seven Lucky Gods, the bottom with leaves. Nice patina, the green silk cord is replaced, due of the material the rim section is partially not even. Condition: traces of age. Dimension: diameter: c. 4.6 cm, c. 1.8 cm wide.

A water bucket shaped earthenware vase finely painted with micro calligraphy in Kanji (Chinese characters), paper slips and chrysanthemum flowers in moriage technique. Base with "Kutani" mark. Dating to Taisho period or later. Condition: minor wear to gilding and colors, interior with few traces of usage. Dimension: c. 22.3 cm high, diameter: 8.2 cm, weight: 500 g.

An antique flattened flask from Oman once used to fill the powder-pan of a matchlock gun, after 1880 often used as amulets. Made of solid silver beautifully decorated with granulation and filigree work and some gilding. Condition: some traces of usage and wear to gilding. Dimension: 17.8 cm long, weight: 212 g.

A Persian torch stand made of bronze or brass with chased and engraved sheath showing floral decoration and arabesques. Condition: traces of usage. Dimension: c. 25.8 cm high, diameter foot: 15.6 cm.

A set of six pierced silver zarfs with decoration in Niello, Ottoman coffee cup holders. Stamped with Tughra mark on body and foot, base with "Tremolierstich". Condition: some small repairs, two zarfs with a lost prong. Dimension: c. 5.6 cm high, diameter: 5.1 cm, weight: 227 g.

A pair undone antique Chinese sleeve bands, bordered with a black band and green cotton lining. The wine-red silk ground finely embroidered in Pekinese stitch, some detalis in satin stitch and couched metal threads, showing figures, maybe immortals in a landscape. Dimension: c. 111 cm x 37.5 cm. Condition: fine, only few stains.

A large evening bag showing on both sides the same geometric pattern on a red ground, worked in tiny glass beads. The celluloid frame in the form of an opened poppy blossom. Presumably French around 1920. Brown lining. Condition: two tassels with missing fringes, lining a bit raddled, clean. Dimension: without handle: c. 45 cm, 23.5 cm wide.

A pair woman's festive leggings from Sana'a, Yemen. The upper part is brocade with boteh pattern in gold wrapped silk threads and the lower part with couched silver wrapped threads forming stars. Two Chinese miniature wood carvings showing scenes of daily life in old China, a court official with his wife and a couple at the dining table. Made in the Tushanwan Workshop in Xujiahui, an orphanage opened 1864 by French Jesuit priests near Shanghai. An old silver alloy offering vessel of oblong form, the outside repoussed with two monster masks among scrolls. Base with chiselled symbol. According to Urs Ramseyer in "The Art and Culture of Bali", these bowls were dignity symbols of the Balinese gentry, filled with betel accessories. Condition: few traces of usage.
