A pair of antique silver arm cuff bracelets worn by the women of the Turkmen Ersari tribe. From an old Swiss collection. Cf. Schletzer, Dieter, and Reinhold: Old Silver Jewellery of the Turkoman: An Essay on Symbols in the Culture of Inner Asian Nomads. Berlin: D. Reimer, 1983: No. 217. Condition: good, some traces of usage, few old small losses to edges (see picture 10). Dimension: 9.5 cm long x 6 cm wide, weight: 258 g.

Porcelain bowl, the exterior decorated with the "100 antiques" motif in the doucai palette. The interior with bats around an auspicious character in overglaze red and some gold. The base with a six character Guangxu mark in underglaze blue. Condition: fine, except a tiny rim chip (see last picture) and a minuscule bubble burst. Dimension: diameter: 16 cm, 6.8 cm high.

The circular dish made of fine milky white porcelain decorated in overglaze enamels as iron-red, blue, green, yellow, black and gold. The well painted with a prunus tree, coiled dragon and ho-o bird. The reverse with scrolls. Condition: fine, the green enamel with partial spalling. Dimension: diameter: 20.9 cm.

Rectangular composite panel of antique embroideries from the Ottoman Empire. The basic fabrics are different plain weaves, embroidered with silk and few metal wrapped threads, composed and sewn together in the Ottoman city of Salonika or Kavala. For similar example please refer to "Textiles of the Islamic World" by John Gillow: page 31 with illustration. Condition: allover good, occasionally little losses to embroidery. Dimension: 113 cm x 118 cm.

Persian Senneh kilim with a concentric lozenge medallion and herati pattern on a red ground. Woven in slit tapestry, warp in cotton and weft in wool. Beautiful colors. Condition: clean, fine, lower end minimally reduced. Dimension: 191 cm x 124 cm.

Chinese porcelain plate finely painted in Qianjiang enamels, showing a temple in a hilly landscape. Dated, inscribed and signed Tinghui (apparently Fang Tinghui, active late 19th century). The base with four character mark "Zhushan rui pin". Condition: fine, only gilt rim and blue enamel with little wear. Dimension: diameter: 22.6 cm, 3.8 cm high.

A circular pale celadon jade pendant, carved and pierced with a parrot perched on a flowering prunus branch. A quite identical plaque was sold 8 November 2013 by Christie's, London South Kensington. Condition: fine. Dimension: diameter: 5.2 cm, approx. 0.3 cm thick.

An original Japanese color woodblock print from the series "Collection of Scenic Views of Japan; Eastern Japan Edition" by the Shin Hanga artist Kawase Hasui (1883 - 1957). Later printing in the 1950's, reverse with purchase date in pencil: 20.01.1951. Signed and sealed, left margin with title and dated March 1935. Left corner with circular seal (6 mm) of publisher Watanabe Shozaburo. See Kendall H. Brown: "Kawase Hasui: The complete woodblock prints": No. 309...

A dark blue satin woman's garment, dating to the late Qing dynasty, with center opening fastened with a gilt metal ball button and two ribbons. The four lobed collar, terminating in ruyi heads, and all wide hems extravagantly embroidered with romance figures in Peking stitch and little gold thread couching. Trimmed with different woven borders, the straight sleeves with embroidered outer cuff bands. Later figured blue silk lining. Condition: very good, only partial little staining...

An extraordinary, wooden figure of a tiger with a very long tail, sitting on a rockwork. It has an almost humanized facial expression and the mouth corners are showing small canines. It is painted with green and different brown pigments. Dating to the Joseon dynasty. Condition: partially lost or agglomerated coloring, some pigment fissures, few small cracks, one fang is worn. Dimension: total height: 35 cm x c. 15 cm x 17 cm.

The female immortal "He Xiangu" depicted as a dancer with wafting dress. Cast in bronze with partial gilding. Dating to the 16th or early 17th century. Please refer to a complete set of the "baxian" in the Musee Cernuschi catalogue, Paris: "Bronzes de la Chine imperiale", pages 154-155. Condition: apparently one foot lost but standing quite firm, please look at pictures carefully, they make part of the condition report. Dimension: 11. 7 cm high, weight: 196 g.

Beautiful set of six porcelain dinner plates for the Straits Chinese market, enamelled with the phoenix and peony motif. With gilded scalloped edges and stamped shop mark "Wang Shen Shu" to the base, dating around 1900. Condition: enamels and rim gilding with little wear. Dimension: diameter: 19.2 cm.

Large rectangular Persian mirror case made of papier-mache and hand-painted in ink, watercolor and gold under lacquered varnish. The outer covers decorated with youth at leisure in the Safavid style. Condition: some craquelure and flaking, mirror lost, rims with wear and losses. Please look at the pictures carefully, they make part of the condition report. Dimension: 36.5 cm x 24.5 cm x 1.7 cm.

A rare Straits Chinese fan case applied with tiny faceted rocaille glass beads on a green respectively yellow velvet ground, depicting auspicious symbols. Bordered with a woven band, with cotton ribbon and lining. Condition: very good, few glass beads are lost. Dimension: case: 32.2 cm long x 7.8 cm wide.

A pear-shaped "Famille rose" porcelain teapot and cover with molded decoration of two rows of petals and applied lotus flowers and leaves, in between painted with cockerels, deers, fishes and egrets. Dating to the Yongzheng or early Qianlong period. Condition: good, some chips to the applied decoration (please look at the last four photos) spout with a tiny chip. Dimension: 10.7 cm high, spout to handle: c. 14.6 cm.

Interesting boat-shaped water vessel with birds-like spout, standing on four feet. Made of brass with brown patina and decorated with floral motifs in relief. Similar examples of this type of kendi in the "Tropenmuseum Amsterdam". Condition: traces of usage. Dimension: 33.4 cm high, 34 cm long.

Tibetan butterfly-shaped woolen under-saddle rug "Makden", made in two pieces in knotted pile. Backed with purple cotton, edged with red wool fabric and having two not pierced strap holes. Decorated with peony flowers and waves. Condition: clean, full pile only few areas with little wear, backing with a small hole. Dimension: 112 cm x 72 cm.

Six different antique ceremonial spoons used during Hindu worship for offering holy water to deities, from Maharashtra. Made of brass or bronze, the largest spoon in "ganga-jumna" technique (brass and copper). Three with cobra, two with lotus bud and one with dancing Krishna final. One with short inscription. From a Swiss lady's private collection. Condition: traces of usage. Dimension: 13.6 cm to 16.2 cm long.
