Victorian gold pendant, carefully wrought to resemble a gnarled piece of wood - an example of the naturalistic style often seen in jewelry of the 1860's and 70's. With impressed 14K mark and probably made in England. Height (without the hoop) "1 ½ / 4.1 cm, weight 5.8 grams. The black velvet ribbon on the photos is included in the price. Condition: fine. A pair of Staffordshire soup plates, transfer printed in blue in the Willow pattern, c 1820 or somewhat earlier, no foot rims and probably Spode. Both pearlware, with variation in thickness and pattern. Diameter "9 ¼ / 23.5 and 24 cm, height of both "1 ½ / 4 cm. Condition: the smaller plate with a nick to the rim (cf. pics).

An English stoneware plate, salt-glazed and enameled in rust-red, blue and green, c 1800 or somewhat earlier. Diameter "9½/ 24 cm. Condition: a small glaze-burst to rim, otherwise fine.

An interesting 18th century pewter plate, the border with an engraved motto, Suum cuique, written on a ribbon above an open book resting on a diagonally striped bar. As presented on this plate this is the crest and motto for the Scottish Clan Don. It is a Latin phrase meaning “to everybody his/her own”, historically used in freemasonry and in legal contexts, like serving as motto for the faculty of law at universities. A pair of blue glass vases, Pearline from Davidson’s in Gateshead, England. Pearline, an opalizing pressed glass launched by Davidson’s, was very much en vogue c 1890 – 1910. Height "4/ 10.2 cm. Condition: fin (please observe that what might look like cracks to the base in the photos are mould traces).

An English, Victorian slide locket. To both sides a design of water lilies with the floating contours of Art Nouveau. Lion passant, anchor mark for Birmingham, date mark for 1901, and maker’s mark ESB (?). A ridge inside the locket indicates that it might have been equipped with a mirror. Diameter "1 ½ / 4 cm. Condition: fine.

Blue and white sparrow beak milk or cream jug and lid transfer printed in two rows with a Chinoiserie pattern. Unmarked, English, c 1790. Height including lid "6 ¼ / 16 cm. Condition: the jug with two hairlines, the lid with star crack and rim frits (cf. pics).

An English Staffordshire bowl and a bread or cake plate, part of an early 19th century tea set. Decoration in blue, beige and gilt of flower garlands and ribbons. Diameter of bowl "6 ¼ /16 cm, of plate "8 ½/ 22 cm, height of bowl "3 ¼/ 8 cm. Condition: some exterior glaze cracks to the lower part of bowl.

Serving tray with four compartments for vegetables or pickles, by Poole Pottery, England. Déco design with wave shaped handles. matted white glaze and hand painted decoration of stylized flowers and birds. Stamped mark for c 1970 and painter’s signature. Measures: "13/ 33 cm and "8¼/ 21 cm. Condition: fine.

Two pairs of tea cups with sprigged ornamental decoration in lilac and twigs of flowers in gilt. English, around 1830 and attributed to New Hall. Unmarked except for the pattern number, 7940. Diameter of saucers "6¾/ 17,5 cm and of cups "4½/ 11,5 cm. Condition: one pair fine, the other (please see the last photo) with some wear, a star crack and a hairline. This pair to go with the first (optional), at a cost not exceeding the additional shipping fee.

A Moorcroft footed bowl, olive green with a single Hibiscus flower. C 1950, the Hibiscus pattern having been introduced by Walter Moorcroft in 1949. Impressed Moorcroft mark and Made in England. Diameter "5¾/ 14,8 cm, height "2¼/ 5,5 cm. Condition: some crazing, otherwise fine.

A Victorian hinged brass bangle, engraved and enameled. Made around 1860, probably English. Inner diameter "2/ 5,2 cm. Condition: some wear consisting with age.

Opaline glass bowl in the Brocade pattern, from the John Walsh Walsh glassworks. The opalizing effect was obtained by adding cobalt oxide to the glass, and a complicated procedure of heating and cooling. The opaline patterns made by John Walsh Walsh were produced as early as the turn of the century 1900. Height "3 ¼ / 8 cm, diameter "4 ¾ / 12 cm. Condition: fine.

A dish in the Mandarin pattern, from Thomas Furnival & Sons, printed, hand painted and gilt. TF was an English maker, well-known for his export of meticulously decorated transfer ware to the US and Canada. The back with impressed Furnival, T.F. & Sons and Registered Number 13104, indicating 1889 as the year of production. Diameter "9/ 23 cm. Condition: fine.

A pair of small Doulton Lambeth Silicon jars, the inside salt glazed as to be used for pickles relish or the like, the outside meticulously worked with applied and incised stylized leaves and pearl borders in beige and blue. Impressed mark Doulton Silicon Lambeth and year mark 1883. Height "2¼/ 6 cm, diameter "3½/ 8,5 cm. Condition: fine.

A pair of Staffordshire waste or slop bowls, c 1820. To one side transfer printed in black with an English mansion in classic style, in the foreground a lake and to gentlemen fishers, to the other side a lady and a small girl in a garden (traces of the same motif to the inside of the bowls). Height "3½/ 8,5 cm and diameter "6/ 15 cm. Condition: wear to the decoration and a hairline to one bowl.

An early Troika vase or marmalade pot, ca 1970. Of square shape, relief decorated, the matted glaze in purple, black and orange, the inside white glazed. Troika was a group of three art potters, based in St Ives. Troika pieces were sold through Liberty of London.
