A Very Rare/Large/Fine Korean Gold Lacquered Wood Seated Buddha Figure (목여래좌불상-木如來坐佛像)-18th C.: Korea, Joseon dynasty, early 19th/18th C. The seated figure on the pedestal with serene expression, his right hand raised and his left hand placed upon his knee, his robes elegantly draped around his body, the folds delicately rendered, his knotted long hair down on the both shoulders with a delicately carved head crown and high chignon centered It’s in very fine condition without any part broken or missing but some gold lacquer cracks in some areas. It measures 105cm H. x 74cm W. x 65cm D.
