A Pair of Fine Korean Landscape Paintings by 두산(斗山) 정술원(鄭述源] (1885-1955)- :
Each painting painted in ink and color on silk with a Spring and Autumn landscapes, has an its description and two seals-斗山 鄭述源.
It’s is good condition with aged patina on paper, each framed with
plexi glass, it measures 88cm x 30 cm painting only.
***斗山 鄭述源 은 절지(折枝), 영모(영毛), 화훼(花卉), 인물(人物)에 이르기까지 다방면에 걸쳐 작품을 남겼으나 그 가운데서도 산수화(山水畵)를 가장 잘 그렸다.
玄菴(현암) 鄭成源(정성원)과는 재종(再從)간이고 松齎(송재) 趙東旭(조동욱)은 조카사위이다. 斗山의 집안에서는 걸출한 화가들이 많이 배출된 셈이다
