A Very Finely Painted with Butterfly by Chung Navi(정나븨)
Korea, dated:Sept.1952, signed in Korean and English and red sealed, framed with documents on the back.
Painted with 15 different butterflies,
and on silk.
It's in very fine condition, it measures
7.5” x 10,5” (19cm x 27cm).
About Artist: Born in 1906, graduated from Tokyo Art Academy, Tokyo, Japan.
A specialist in drawing and painting butterflies. The professors spent 15 years gathering more than 7,000 types of butterflies from all parts of the orient-Florida, Okinawa Japan, Korea, Manchuria, South Oceans and all over China. He is a member of Korean Art
Exhibition and a member of “Art Critics” and is known as Butterfly and Nature Art Authority throughout the nations of the orient and the entire World.
His articles and works were exhibited in Japan, China and New York in 1949.
