Impressive hand carved and polished Lapis Lazuli carving of Shou Lao, the Chinese deity of longevity, standing with others, including a deer, on a log boat. Presented on a silver wire inlaid rosewood stand, this is a superb piece and comes in its own presentation box. It measures: Long 10" x High 7.25" x Depth 2.5" plus stand. Dates mid 20th C, late Republic/early People's Republic of China.

Large 17" high Inuit sculpture by Henry Evaluardjuk of an heroic polar bear saving a seal. Hand carved and polished, the sculpture is pinned to the base. Wonderful white marble owl sculpture by Canadian Inuit artist Lukta Qiatsuk. Sculpture measures 13.5" high, on stand measures 15" high. Comes with complete documentation which includes a postage stamp that he designed for the Canadian government. Purchased August 3, 1995.

Elaborately crafted natural marble figure of a child carrying a basket of flowers while holding one flower in their hand. This statue is handcrafted in various types of marble and stone. Mid-20th century. Weighs about 350 lbs and measures 42" high

Circa 1965 red free form metal sculpture on a black wooden base by George Curtis (1923-2010). Curtis developed a unique way of creating freedom as opposed to formal structure sculptures. Using a 5 gallon pail filled with water and potatoes, he would melt scrap aluminum and pour it into the pail. The result was an unvisualized form that humans have never seen before, a representation of the shape of spaces and caverns between objects. Measures 15" high.

1960's Chinese green and white jadeite carving of lotus and bamboo on a custom wood stand. A frog is perched on one of the lotus leaves and a bamboo stalk in the background serves to hold calligraphy brushes or fresh flowers. In excellent condition, it measures 7.25" high, on stand 8.75" high, 5.5 across, and about 3.5" deep.

Set of 3 Brutalist cast bronze candles in the shape of drip beeswax column candles. Even though you can stick a candle on them, they look terrific grouped together as an art form which is what I believe the artist intended. Very heavy, they measure 13 inches, 8.5 inches, and 7.75 inches high. All 3 are 3.25 inches in diameter.

A finely carved Chinese boxwood statue of the Tang poet Li Bai. Dressed in official attire with a scroll in his right hand, Li Bai appears to be deep in thought as he strokes his beard. Attached to a wooden base, it measures 9.5 inches high as pictured. Base measures 3.5” square. Condition is excellent. Dates circa 1900.

Superb old Benin bronze sculpture of a fish standing on 4 legs. This piece was made using the lost wax process. A must for anyone's collection, this fish has a wonderful patina and would also make a very interesting accent piece to any home decor. Measures 7" long, 4" high.

A very impressive African tribal Senufo bird statue measuring 61.75 inches high with a 25" wingspan. The bird's wings are carved in relief with images of lizards, crocodiles, turtles and birds. The body beneath the beak has a carving of a large lizard. The rest of the bird features repeated geometric carvings on front and back. Large antique 19th C terracotta sculpture in the Italian Renaissance style of a beautiful woman. All original with no repairs or touch-ups, rarely do you find one of these pieces with the paint and gold gilt intact. This piece has just been lightly dusted with a soft brush for the past 25 years. A decorators dream, she measures a little over 18" high x 15" wide at the base. Circa 1880. Old Chinese carved stone birdbath. Made in 2 pieces that fit together nicely, the bottom is a Buddhist lion. The bowl has vague dragon like carving around the exterior. No condition issues. As shown the bird bath measures 18.5" high. Bowl or bath measures 9.5" diameter or across. Interior measures 7" across.

Large terracotta sculpture we named "Leaf Tree Man". The body is stylized tree bark with a green glaze wash. By West Coast artist Dirk Dahl, the statue is signed by the artist and in excellent condition. Measures 24 inches high, 16" long. Weighs about 18 lbs.

Hewn from one piece of wood, our porcine friend leisurely resided for many years on the enclosed back porch of historic Coolmore Plantation, Taroboro, NC (see last photo of home). In very good condition, she does have some age cracks, but is very solid. Measures 21 inches long x 13" high x 12" and weights 21 lbs. Age unknown so we are listing as vintage.

A stunning yellow Art Deco pate de verre crystal figural vase by French artist I. Roubleff (1877-1970). Featuring a kneeling nude woman with irises surrounding the rim, it is a heavy piece much like a sculpture. Signed by the artist and in perfect condition, the vase measures 10 inches high by 5" at the widest point.
