A very rare piece, this foldable paktong scroll weight, which, when folded out, can be used as a frame for calligraphy. Finely engraved with a crane in a landscape. Dimensions: closed 20x2,3 cm, opened 15,5x7 cm. Age: 19th century. Condition: excellent.
A very attractive and extremely rare sculpture in the shape of a basket holding a baby boy and girl. The porcelain body with splashes of Qingbai glaze. The outside of the basket decorated with characters for long life and happiness. China, Yuan Dynasty (1279-1368).
L. 15cm, W. 11cm, H. 7 cm. Condition: excellent, no cracks or repairs.
A very rare pair of wooden tomb figures with original painting. China, Han Dynasty (206 BC-221 AD). Condition: one head broken, appropriate age wear. H. 27 and 25 cm excluding the stands.

A wonderful blue and white porcelain kendi. China, Wanli (1573-1620). The silver mounts were added in Indonesia in the 19th century. H. 22cm. Condition: excellent, appropriate age wear and a few glaze cracks.
A porcelain Kendi with powderblue glaze and decorations in gold, mounted with a silver lid and spout. China, Qianlong (1736-1795).
H. 27 cm. Condition: wear to the gold decoration and wear to the silver (see pictures). The silver spout may have had a small lid, that was connected with a chain to the main lid of the Kendi.
Note: Many Kendis were exported to Indonesia, it is very well possible that the silver mounts were added there.
Provenance: Amsterdam private collection.

A very nice paktong opium box decorated in email cloisonné. H. 5,6 cm, W. 5 cm.China, 19th century. Condition: very minor chips to the enamel (normal age wear).
A wonderful Qingbai porcelain wine ewer from the Hutian kilns. China, Song Dynasty (960-1279). H. 16 cm. Condition: some discoloring in the glaze, small ornament on top of the handle restuck, small chip from the ornament on top of the lid.
A very well preserved embroidered silk apron, decorated with small glass mirrors in brass mounts and metal paillets. China, late 19th/early 20th century. H. 83 cm. W. 105 cm. Condition: embroidery is in mint condition, some pieces of glass and a few metal paillets missing.
Adorable embroidered silk children's jacket. Considering the elaborate embroidery on both sides this was probably a festival jacket. China, late 19th/early 20th century. Dimensions: H. 35 cm , W. 83 cm. Condition: expected wear, discoloring, stains and a few holes in the silk top layer. The glass eyes of the dragon on the back are missing.
A magnificent and rare figure of a fat lady made of painted terracotta.
Fat ladies are among the most famous objects of the Tang Dynasty (618-906) and they are a wellknown symbol of wealth.H. 31 cm.
Condition: no traces of repairs are visible, most of the original colour is still present.

A wonderful Tibetan lama statue, made of gilt repoussé copper, dating from the 18th or 19th century. The figure still has it's original ornaments hanging from the shoulders.
H. 30 cm W. 21 cm.
Condition: expected age wear to the gilding, a few cracks in the copper. The ornament (probably a bottle) in the lama's lower hand is missing. Very good condition considering the age.

This set of seven Chinese porcelain bowls comes from the Diana shipwreck. It sank in March 1817 in the Strait of Malacca. The contents were recovered in 1994 and auctioned at Christie's in Amsterdam in 1995.
Dimensions: Diameter 14 cm, H. 7 cm each.
Condition: 5 bowls perfect, one with a chip on the mouthrim, one with a hairline crack. Every bowl has the original auction sticker.

A rare huanghuali scholar's box with it's original shiny varnish and original brass hardware.
China, late Ming to early Qing, ca. 17th/18th century.
Dimensions: L. 31 cm, W. 16 cm, H.10 cm.
Condition: excellent original condition, only one brass loop at the front plate missing, a small piece of hardware on the lid missing and one of the wooden feet missing.
A rare and finely carved boxwood tobacco box that could be hung from a man's belt. The lid carved with a 3-dimansional pair of Fo dogs, the sides with floral carvings with a bird and a deer. The opening where once the rope was attached, is in the shape of two bats.
China, 18th/19th century.
Dimensions: L. 7 cm (excluding the wooden ring), W. 3,8 cm, H. 3,5 cm.
Condition: excellent, with beautiful wear and patina.
