This porcelain oyster plate was produced in France by Charles Ahrenfeldt Limoges in the 1890s. It measures 9 inches in diameter. It has 6 wells and a salt compartment in the center. The plate is decorated with factory transfer designs that are colored by hand. There is an assortment of sea creatures accented with flowers. The border and shell compartments are highlighted with brushed-on gilding. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain bowl was produced in France by Bawo & Dotter Limoges, often called Elite Limoges, around 1900. It has two marks indicating that it was factory decorated. The bowl measures 10 inches in diameter and is 3 3/4 inches high. It has a scalloped rim and foot. There are little flowers molded in high relief around the rim. The decoration is hand painted. Colorful roses in bright colors tumble down the side into the center. A ring of roses decorates the outside of the bowl. The rim is finished with sponged on gold trim. You will find the shape and decoration very appealing. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain serving dish was produced in France by Tressemann & Vogt Limoges between 1892 and 1907. The blank porcelain was sold white ware to the renowned painter Ester Miler for decoration in New York City. The artist’s signature is in the decoration. The dish measures 9 1/2 inches in diameter. It is 2 1/2 inches high with the second tier having a diameter of 4 3/4 inches. The ground color shades from light blue-green to light yellow. It is a perfect backdrop for the white and peach colored roses and foliage. The colors blend so pleasingly. Miler’s signature brush style is clearly evident in this piece. It is trimmed with heavy gilding giving the dish a rich touch. This is a lovely, versatile serving dish you will want to use often. It would also make a great gift for some special occasion. This porcelain perfume bottle with stopper was produced in France in the mid 19th century. It has some impressed letters and numbers but they are not legible. The style of the gilding and the lady’s dress are typical of the mid 19th century and so this would be considered “Paris Porcelain.” It is similar to porcelain produced by Sevres. The porcelain is very fine and thin. The ground color is rich cobalt blue. The reserve has a portrait of a lovely young woman dressed in jewels and finery. It is completely hand painted in an expert manner. The reserve is framed in a hand painted gold cartouche. Condition: Excellent

This set of 6 porcelain plates were made in France in the mid 19th century. The may have been made by a Paris porcelain decorator. The plates have a diameter of 9 5/8 inches. They are made of fine hard paste porcelain. The rims are scalloped. They are decorated in the Sevres style and have the crossed L’s under glaze. The decoration is completely hand painted. There is bright royal blue trim and ornaments. Garlands of peach colored roses encircle the plate. There are gilded medallions around the rims. These plates are quite special and wonderfully decorative. Only one plate is pictured but the set includes 6 plates. Condition: There is light surface wear and some stacking wear. This covered porcelain dish or box was produced in France by Tressemann & Vogt Limoges around 1900. The dish has a diameter of 7 inches and is 1 1/2 inches high without the handle. The lid has a ribbon shaped handle. The porcelain was sold white ware and decorated by a studio artist in the United States. It has large, vibrantly colored roses that spill across the lid. The ground color blends from peach to green. There is gold trim on the rim at the bottom. How lovely it would be to have a delectable chocolate served from this delightful dish. Condition: There is the slightest bit of wear to the gilding on the handle and on the bottom rim. It is in very good condition.

The form of the porcelain plate blank is known as “Marsaille.” It has a gently scrolled border and scrolled accents. It fits 5 shells and has a salt dip in the center. The plate has a factory hand colored transfer design. The realistic depiction of various types of seaweed, fish and shell fish is done in vibrant colors. Brushed on gilding and accents complete the design. This is a very desirable plate for the discerning collector. Condition: Excellent

It is molded with 5 wells and is often referred to as “a turkey plate” since the shell configuration resembles a turkey’s tail. The plate is decorated with a factory transfer design of sea creatures and sea weed. The decoration is hand colored. The ground color is ivory. This shape is the one that was used for the “White House China” service for President Hayes.

This porcelain platter was produced in France by Haviland Limoges. A studio painter purchased it white ware for decoration around 1900. The platter measures 14 3/4 inches long, 10 1/2 inches wide and 1 3/4 inches deep. The platter has a scalloped border with molded beads around the edge. There are sweet roses encircling the border. The beaded rim is trimmed with gold. The effort and love that went into creating this platter gives it the charm of generations past. Condition: The gilding around the rim has very slight wear on some of the high spots. It is not evident unless you look closely for it.

This porcelain sugar bowl and cream pitcher was produced in France by Haviland Limoges around 1900. The sugar bowl measures 6 1/2 inches across the handles and is 5 inches high. The cream pitcher is 4 3/4 inches from spout to handle and 4 1/4 inches high. The porcelain was sold white ware and decorated by a studio artist. There is a signature in the decoration. The ground color is light cream. It is decorated with pink wild roses that spill down the sides of both pieces. All of the coloring is done in soft pastels. The rims and handles are trimmed with gold. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain serving dish was produced in France by Klingenberg Limoges. The white blank was sold for decoration to a studio artist. It is signed and dated 1906. The dish measures 16 inches across the handles. it is 8 3/4 inches wide and 1 1/2 inches deep. The porcelain has scrolled, molded handles and scalloped edges. Colorful hand painted roses spill across the interior of the dish. There is gold trim on the handles and edges. This is an attractive piece with an impressive size for use and display. Condition: There is a trace of wear to some gilding on the edge that is hardly noticeable. The piece is in overall excellent condition.

This porcelain serving platter was produced in France by Coiffe Limoges in the late 19th century. It measures 12 1/2 inches across the handles. The porcelain was purchased white ware to be painted by a studio artist. There is a signature on the back. The ground color has a slightly creamy hue. The flowing pink roses and foliage tumble down the middle of the platter. They are realistically hand painted in shades of pink and green. The rim and handles are trimmed with gold. Condition: Excellent

This pair of covered vases or ginger jars was produced in France by E. Claus in the late 19th century. They measure 5 inches high, including the lids and are approximately 3 1/2 inches in diameter. The fine hard paste porcelain is expertly hand painted with vibrant sprays of flowers. There are tiny sprigs and buds dotting the surface. The decoration has some similarity to work done by Dresden and Meissen. The lids and bottom of the vases are trimmed with gold. They are a lovely pair to accent your home. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in France by a Paris decorator in the mid-19th century. The type of porcelain and style of decoration are indicative of Paris Porcelain. The saucer has a diameter of 5 5/8 inches and the cup is 3 3/8 inches high. The cup and saucer are molded into panels, giving the saucer ribs and the cup its shape. These panels divide the decoration into scenic segments and ornamental segments. There are buildings, bridges and trees done in a Chinoiserie stylized manner. In the design, you can see little figures in the windows or out fishing. The rims and handle are trimmed with gold. Inside the cup, at the bottom, is a beautiful gilded medallion. Condition: There are touches of wear to the gilding on the rims of both pieces and inside the well of the saucer.

This porcelain cup and saucer was produced in France around 1810. There are no markings on either of the pieces. It could have been made by one of the numerous porcelain manufacturers in the Paris vicinity at that period. The saucer has a diameter of 5 inches and the cup is 3 3/8 inches high, excluding the handle. The porcelain is heavy and substantial. The decoration is hand painted. Stylized ornaments, including a cornucopia and swans, decorate the sides of the cup. The central decoration on the cup is a gilded medallion of a lion encircled in a laurel wreath. The gilding is finely etched. The saucer has hand painted instruments and trophy objects. Three quarters of the interior of the cup is gilded. The handle and the rims are trimmed with bright gilding. This cup and saucer is a wonderful example of the French Neo-Classical style. Condition: The well of the saucer has minor wear to the gilding.
