This porcelain plate was produced in Limbach Germany, by Gotthelf Greiner between 1772 and 1787. It has an under glaze blue mark with a star. The plate has a diameter of 9 inches. It is indented about 1/2 inch toward the middle making it deep in the center. The border of 1 1/2 inches is reticulated or pierced. The piercing was done with a knife by hand. You can see the irregularities in this difficult hand work with magnification. This plate has magnificent hand painting of lovers in a garden. It is done with miniscule brush strokes in the style of Meissen. Single flower buds and insects dot the outer edge. This is a fine example of antique German porcelain of museum quality. Condition: Excellent

These 4 porcelain figurines were produced in Germany by Nymphenburg in the late 19th century. They have the impressed shield of Nymphenburg in the base of each piece. The tallest of the figures is 7 1/4 inches high to the shortest one which measures 6 1/2 inches high. They are made of fine white hard paste porcelain with a high gloss glaze. The cherubs are executed in blanc de chine and are very similar to figures produced by Meissen. Each cherub is modeled in fine detail, with attention given to definition of fingers, facial features, the chubby little bodies and the folds in the drapery. Each cherub is engaged in some activity. There appears to be some meaning to each one. Perhaps they represent the months of the year. They are standing on molded pedestals. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain cup and saucer was produced in Germany by the Royal Berlin Porcelain Manufactory known as KPM around 1835. The signature is in blue under the glaze. The cup is entitled “Das Konigl: Opernhaus u: Bluchers Stanbild.” Roughly translated it means “The Konigl Opera House at Blucher’s Statue”. The saucer has a diameter of 5 3/4 inches and the cup measures 3 inches tall with a diameter of 3 5/8 inches. The front of the cup features a hand painted depiction of the location noted. It is painted with precision and skill. There are wide bands of gilding trimming each piece. Topographical cups and saucers help preserve the memory of monumental historical architecture. Condition: There is light wear to the interior gilding of the cup and to a thin band just below the painting. It is minor considering the age and rarity of the set.

This porcelain vase was produced in France by Sevres Manufacture Nationale in 1915. It has the double markings, under glaze and over glaze in first quality. The vase is 12 3/4 inches tall. It is 5 1/2 inches in diameter at the widest point. The vase has a graceful form, with pedestal base and wide opening at the top. It is colored cobalt blue, accented with gilded stars. There is gold trim on the opening and foot. It has a high gloss glaze with a mirror finish. This vase is splendid in its simplicity. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain dessert stand or tazza was produced in France at Sevres in 1850. It has a cancellation line through the mark. The stand measures 10 ¾ inches in diameter and is 4 ½ inches high. The stand has a slight lip around the edge. It was made in two parts and is bolted together. The central design has colorful, exotic birds in a landscape scene. It is painted with fine detail. The burgundy border is gilded with leaves and ribbons. The underside of the stand has a ring of colorful fruits and flowers. There is the burgundy border, once again with additional gilded accents. The stem has a ring of flowers around it. The amount of work and hours that were necessary to complete this piece is unimaginable. Condition: There are some minor surface scratches on the top. There are losses to some of the gilded trim.

These 12 porcelain cream soup cups and saucers were produced in England by the Royal Cauldon Factory around 1900. The saucers measure 5 ¾ inches in diameter and the cups are 6 inches across the handles and 2 inches high. The cups feature graceful scalloped pedestal bases and split branch handles. All pieces are decorated with elaborate gilding that nearly covers the entire surface. There are knots of colorful hand painted flowers accenting the gold decorations. A lovely rose is at the bottom of each cup and well of each saucer. They were produced with such amazing delicacy and style; they are irresistible. Condition: One small, shallow chip just nicking the gold on the edge of a saucer, keeps this set of 12 from being excellent.

This porcelain casket or box was produced in France by an unknown Paris decorator in the late 19th century. It has a painted marking and is artist signed, P. Roche. The casket measures 9 1/8 inches long, 4 3/4 inches wide and 4 inches tall. It has gold colored metal frame and hinge. The lid is hand painted with lovers embracing, seated in a landscape of trees, a lake and a building in the background. There is raised, ornate hand gilding framing this scene. The front panel has a large spray of vibrantly colored flowers framed in raised gold. Two side panels have similar flower bouquets. The back panel is richly gilded with elaborate hand gilding. The box is painted inside on all sides with beautiful flowers. There are 4 graceful feet supporting the casket. Condition: There is slight wear to some gilding. It is about 95% intact. The casket is in otherwise excellent condition.

This porcelain chamber stick was produced in the early 19th century. It is unmarked but may have been produced by Coalport. It is 7 inches long, 4 1/2 inches wide and 3 inches tall. The fine hard paste porcelain is molded in rococo style and there are three paw feet supporting it. The ground is deep cobalt blue with two reserves. Colorful exotic birds fill these spaces, similar to Chelsea Derby decorations. Gilding of high quality surrounds the two reserves. Finely painted gilded accents highlight the molded designs and trim the edges. The expertise which this chamber stick was created is equal to the porcelains from the Royal Sevres Factory. It is a joy to behold.

This porcelain tea caddy was produced in Germany by KPM, Royal Berlin, around 1870. It is unmarked. The porcelain blank features the lid with snowdrops and the bottom has the typical legs that were designed by KPM. The piece is 7 inches high, including the lid. The ground is rich cobalt blue. There is a scenic reserve of a couple in a landscape on the front. The figural painting is high quality and very similar to that of Meissen. The intricate gilding is delicate. This is an exquisite treasure from the past you would be proud to own. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain plate was produced in England by Brown, Westhead & Moore between the late 1870s and 1880s. It was produced especially for the renowned retailer Wilhelm Graef of New York. The plate has a diameter of 10 ¼”. The deep cobalt blue enamel ground is decorated with embossed gold flying herons and chrysanthemums. The flowers themselves are raised turquoise enamel. The design is Asian inspired and a fine example of the Aesthetic Movement. The striking contrasts and stunning design make this very desirable. Condition: Excellent

This set of 10 porcelain bowls and 10 plates was produced in France by Jean Pouyat Limoges in 1914. Only one set is pictured, but the price includes the set of 10 matching bowls and plates. The plates measure 7 1/4 inches and the bowls are 5 inches in diameter and 2 inches high. The naturalistic design is an inspiration of the art nouveau period. A factory transfer of trumpet blossoms and vines spills across the surface of each piece. The soft pink and rose blossoms and light green leaves are all outlined in gold. The rims of the bowls have embossed gilding while the plates have embossed and beaded gold. What a delightful way to serve berries and cake or whatever your heart desires. Condition: Excellent

This 3 piece porcelain tea set was produced in Austria by Royal Rudolstadt in the 1890s. The pot measures 5 ½ inches high and 4 ¼ inches from the spout to the handle. The cream pitcher is 4 inches high and 3 inches from the spout to the handle. The sugar bowl with lid is 3 ½ inches high and has a diameter of 3 ¼ inches. The 3 pieces all have little feet. They are entirely hand painted and hand gilded. The scenes with cherubs are all artist signed. There is opulent raised gilding and raised enamel beaded accents on all of the pieces. The deep cobalt blue ground provides dramatic contrast to the gilding and painted reserves. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain cup and saucer was produced in Germany by the Royal Berlin Manufactory KPM around 1835. The cup is 3 3/4 inches tall with a diameter of 3 ½ inches. The saucer has a diameter of 6 inches. It is inscribed “Andenhen an den 8ten Funi 1835” on the front of the cup, translated as Commemoration of the 8th of June 1835. The bottom of the cup is inscribed “Zur Erinnerung von F.G. Weise aus Wulften” or “As a reminder of F.G. Weise from Wulften” The cup has three claw feet and an ornate handle. There is a hand painted scene on the front of the cup of a sumptuous estate with a man and woman in the foreground. The painting is precise in perspective. Historical events and architectural achievements were documented for posterity on cups and saucers such as this one. Condition: The gilding on the saucer has minor wear. There is very minor wear to the gold trim on the 3 feet of the cup.

This porcelain cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Meissen around 1800. It has the first quality under glaze crossed swords mark. The style of the cup is from the early Biedermeire Period, 1815 -1848. The saucer measures 4 3/4 inches in diameter. The cup is 3 inches tall (without the handle) and has a diameter of 2 3/4 inches. The front of the cup has a very intricate scene of a city Bautzen. There was great variety in the forms of architecture making it an interesting subject matter. It is hand painted in fine detail. There are two figures in the foreground. It is a marvelous representation of that city from a 200 year old perspective. Condition: Slight wear to gilding on saucer.

These 6 porcelain demitasse cups and saucers were produced in France in the 1890s. They have a spurious Sevres mark but were most likely decorated by a Paris porcelain firm. The saucers have a diameter of 3 3/4 inches and the cups are 2 inches high. The cups have a puffy, blown-out shape. The set is decorated with an elaborate raised gold pattern in two color gold. The interiors of the cups are coated with gold. The rims and handles are gilded. Condition: Excellent

This set of 6 porcelain demitasse cups and saucers was produced in France by Haviland Limoges around 1910. The saucers are 4 3/8 inches in diameter. The cups are 2 inches tall with a diameter of 2 1/8 inches. Notice the graceful shape of the handle. The decoration is high quality. Borders of raised gilded rosettes encircle each piece. The cup has exquisitely delicate gilding just inside the rim of the cup. Even the foot rings of the cups and saucers are heavily gilded. The Haviland mark is in gold. This set is truly special. Condition: Excellent, without defects of any kind.

This porcelain compote was produced in Germany by Meissen in the late 19th century. It is a first quality porcelain, hand painted in the factory. It is 8 inches tall and has a diameter of 9 1/2 inches. The compote is made in two pieces and bolted together. The top is cut out or reticulated in a basket weave pattern. All of the cut out segments are accented with gold. The border has cartouches with brightly painted flowers. This decoration is repeated on the underside of the top portion as well. The base has a molded swirl design that is accented with gilding. There are flowers cascading down the base. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Meissen around 1725. The saucer has a diameter of 5 1/4 inches and the cup is 1 3/4 inches high. The decoration of this cup is inspired by the Chinese. The ground color is pale yellow. The cup has two reserves containing hand painted flowers. There are flowers scattered around the saucer. There are tiny flowers painted on the applied handle. There is a single blossom in the bottom the cup. Condition: The saucer has a filled in chip and a 3/4 inch tight crack. Both pieces have wear to the gilded trim on the edges. Considering the age and rarity of this set, it is worthy of consideration and preservation.
