This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in England between 1800 and 1815. It has no mark from the manufacturer but it may have been made by Minton or Coalport. The saucer has a diameter of 5 1/2 inches and is 1 1/8 inches deep. The cup is 2 1/2 inches high. The shape of the cup is known as a bute shape. The porcelain has a slightly grayish tinge to it. It is not pure white like the bone china produced in later years in England. The decoration is in the Imari style using brightly colored enamels to hand paint the bold designs. There are gilded accents within the decoration. The rims of the cup and saucer are trimmed with gold. There is some wear on the edge of the saucer and the rim of the cup. For a cup and saucer this age, the wear is quite minor. It is in otherwise excellent condition.

This porcelain chamber stick was produced in the early 19th century. It is unmarked but may have been produced by Coalport. It is 7 inches long, 4 1/2 inches wide and 3 inches tall. The fine hard paste porcelain is molded in rococo style and there are three paw feet supporting it. The ground is deep cobalt blue with two reserves. Colorful exotic birds fill these spaces, similar to Chelsea Derby decorations. Gilding of high quality surrounds the two reserves. Finely painted gilded accents highlight the molded designs and trim the edges. The expertise which this chamber stick was created is equal to the porcelains from the Royal Sevres Factory. It is a joy to behold.
