Offered is a vintage Correia attributed art glass perfume bottle with an iridescent ultramarine blue chamber encased in clear glass. The sides of the bottle have a black and frosted checkerboard chevron pattern with a southwestern design. The glass stopper is ultramarine blue and matches the chamber, although it is not iridescent. Etched with the artist's signature "A. Coreia" and the year "'98", the bottle is 3 ¼ "wide x 1 5/8 "deep x 4 ½" tall, including the stopper. It is in excellent condition, with no scratches, chips, scuffs, or repairs. Correia Art Glass, located in Santa Monica, California, is a small family-owned glass Art founded in 1973 by nationally recognized glass artist Steven V. Correia. Correia Art Glass is exhibited worldwide and is in the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Smithsonian Institution, the Corning Museum, and the Chrysler Museum of Art. In 1989, Steve Correia left his company in the capable hands of his sister (Algerine) and brother (Jeff) and went on to fulfill his desire to work in lead crystal.
