Offered is a simple, elegant quarter-circle vintage Max Leser studio glass scent bottle from the 1980s with beveled edges, an etched chamber, and a matching circular stopper. Made by cutting and etching thick, clear, pale blue-green plate glass with extraordinary precision and skill, the bottle is 4 ½ " tall, including the stopper, 5 " wide, and 1" deep. Signed on the base as shown, it is in excellent like-new condition, with no chips, scuffs, or repairs noted. Born in 1959, Canadian glass artist Max Leser trained as a pilot but turned first to pottery and then to working with plate glass. His work is inspired by the art of the 1970s, which challenged the boundaries of art with its revolutionary features.
