Fine quality carafe with matching glass or tumbler which fits over top of carafe, both in blue and white swirled designs on clear glass, polished lip and bases, signature, mid century era. The blue is cobalt, it appears to have a turquoise hue in some of the photos. Measures 7 1/2" high with glass on top, carafe alone is 6 1/2" high and roughly 4 1/2" wide, the glass is 3 7/8" high and 2 3/4" wide. The swirl design is very precise, the sign of fine quality glass, and it is heavy as well. The work appears to be Murano glass, but other similar designs were created in Scandinavia, Europe, and in the US. There is an engraved name on the bottom of the glass, but it is very small and not clear. Condition is excellent, no chips cracks or losses, very minor shelf wear to base of carafe. Shows some tiny bubbles, often found in such glass. As it is vintage and may have minor signs of usage, it is sold as is. From an estate with marvelous mid century furniture, art and decorative items.
