Rare pair of sterling silver and amethyst bracelets designed and signed c.1943-48 by Taxco, Mexico Maestro Hector Aguilar(1905-86. Each bracelet has a wearable length of 6 3/4". Each cab amethyst is 1" wide, each intricately constructed link is 1/2" wide. The pair of bracelets can be joined to form a 14" choker necklace. The pair weigh 93 grams, 3.3 oz. Excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks to stones. No repairs. This design is pictured on p. 40 of SILVER MASTERS OF MEXICO by Penny Morrill. Hector Aguilar designs are featured in the permanent 20th Century Mexican silver collection at LACMA- Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
