Description:
A celadon ewer or water dropper was intriguingly mold as chicken pot.
By cute-looking spout and simple-form wings, the porcelain pot was applied with glass-sheen glaze all over the surface.
On the unglazed bottom, the dense-feel clay was revealed and was with adhesives of burial earth.
Crackles and abrasions were resulted from incursions too.
It was kept in very fine condition.
The tint of the glaze in the pictures is a bit biased than in real.
Date: Yuan/Ming periods, 13th/15th Century.
Provenance: Jingdezheng of Jianxi province.
It was a very good example for ware imitating the products of northern kiln from Southern areas.
Width from wing to wing: 9.0cm, Height: 6.3cm.
