Description:
A Yaozhou lotus-bud bowl was in fine look.
It was well decorated on the surface with carved floral motifs.
The surface was spread with minute incursions which were caused by time.
Looking inside, the body clay was revealed with brownish tint which was an obvious characteristic of oxidation from time.
Jin Dynasty, 1115-1234.
Height: 11cm.
It is very rare to find a Yaozhou ware in Lotus-Bud form.
Only one example was find in the Palace Museum of Beijiang.
This item was put on the famous Chinese antique magazine Art & Collection, July edition, 2013.
