This is a collection of works produced mostly in 1966 and issued as a portfolio in an edition of 65 plus 10 artist's proofs in 1969 by Aquarius Press. All 13 works signed by the artist. Abeles is an important 20th and 21st century American artist.

Original burin engraving and etching by Dolf Rieser (British, born in South Africa, 1898-1983). Pulled by Joseph Hecht in Paris in 1938 as #9 in the "Africa" portfolio on Montval paper, signed and numbered "35" by the artist, in an edition of 100. In excellent condition. Offered framed and with the original portfolio cover with an engraving of African masks on brown wove paper.

Original oil painting on illustration board by famed American illustrator, muralist, and painter Dean Cornwell (1892-1960). This painting measures roughly 10" by 11" (18" by 19" in its frame). It is signed "DC" lower right. It still bears verso the original gallery label from Galleries Maurice Sternberg in Chicago, as well as a brass plaque on the frame. Circa 1940.
