All of the plating is still original. There is however, a few spots where, as shown in my picture, there is some loss of silver. A magnificent addition to any silver collection. The collar is 7/8" in diameter and is wonderfully chased.
This tureen measures 9 1/2" tall x 13 1/2" long (including handles) x 9" wide.
The original quadruple silver plate has achieved a warm, soft patina with virtually no wear. There are no dents.
The inside of this silverplate tureen is in excellent condition as you can see by my picture.
The silver plate is much brighter than shown in the photo, which is due to the lights.
The high relief design is outstanding and crisp.
The interior cuff bracelet measures approximately 6 1/2" in interior circumference including the gap. The widest point is 1 1/8" at is widest part. It could be made smaller or larger. However, I would suggest taking to a jeweler to make the fit right for you. This bracelet weighs 36.8 grams.
There is a rub to the Japanned area on the right hand side of the profile.
