The Urie Mandle Corporation was founded in 1938 with Urie and partner Nat Levy in New York, NY. One of their major designers was Murray slater. Sprites are derived from European folklore and are mythical creatures. This is a water sprite known to breath air and water. They have the ability to fly. Her wings are studded with clear rhinestones. Her face, tutu,and specter are studded with faceted oval cobalt blue stones. Her longs legs and arms are also very much Murray Slater. She is gold plated over sterling. This one is marked sterling . It is 3 1/2" x 1 3/4" . Circa 1940.

This McClelland Barclay deco ruby brooch is rhodium and gold plated base metal with rhinestones. It is hallmarked McClelland Barclay. It is 2" by 1 3/4" . Excellent condition. It is circa 1941.

There is rhodium plated metal brooch with black and red enmael. There is some wear to the enamel of the pelican's bill. All the pave rhinestones appear to be bright.

There is a Hallmark that is barely visible Made in USA and a symbol which I cannot photograph which appears to be a star with circle made of dots (Fred Gray).

This McClelland Barclay deco ruby brooch is rhodium and gold plated base metal with rhinestones. It is hallmarked McClelland Barclay. It is 2" by 1 3/4" . Excellent condition. It is circa 1941.

This Corocraft sterling calla lily brooch has clear rhinestones tie and purple stones on the flower. It is 3 3/4" x 2 1/8". It is hallmarked Coro Craft and sterling with pegasus. Pat Aug. 22. 1944 Des 138,605 by A. Katz.

This Alexander Korda brooch is based on the movie "Thief of Bagdad" produced by Alexander Korda in the 1940s. It depicts a turbaned fortune teller holding a lucite crystal ball. This figure is made up of a silver plated metal that forms the fortune teller who wears a turban and robe decorated with crescent moons, stars, and other unique shapes. This figure holds a large center crystal ball that is made up of an amber colored lucite and measures 24mm in diameter. The back of this item has a nice pin and clasp and hallmarked "Thief of Bagdad Korda" on a rectangular cartouche on the back center. Mounted on silver plated metal Measures 2 1/2" long by 1 7/8" wide.

This Reinad 'Asian Princess' is gold tone metal. It is hallmarked Reinad. It is 3 3/4" x 2 1/2". Excellent vintage condition. This famous signed Hattie Carnegie book piece of an oriental on his junk (san pan or fishing boat) is molded plastic to mimic carved angel skin coral or ivory on a gold plated setting is in near mint condition. The billowing sails are very detailed as well as the choppy waves. This pin is 2 1/4" x 2 1/8

All measurements are approximate. I am not a gemologist, therefore I cannot determine if gemstones are synthetic, lab created or natural. EDUCATE ME

I am a reputable and conscientious seller. I am not an expert in any particular field. I do own a considerable number of books on quite a few subjects. Educate me! I appreciate all the wisdom that can be imparted to me, better reference tools, etc.

This sterling Hobe bracelet with the peridot and ruby bezel set stones is wonderful. I have not had the stones tested. Each stone is set in a floral motif. It is hallmarked on the back "Hobe and sterling. It is 7 1/4" long x 1" and has a spring closure.

This bird carrying this Crosby lapel watch has tons of rhinestones and enameling. The watch ticks but it will not run all day.Some of the rhinestones have darkened with age.

Each aqua marine stone is 3 x 6 mm. That is a total weight of 2.7 cts. Size is 5 3/4. The are four diamond accents in the shape of a diamond in the center of the ring.

Astrological events sometimes inspired new forms of design such as "comet jewelry" This Victorian pin / brooch was made to commemorate Haley's comet.

It is 1 1/8" long and 5/17" wide at the widest point.

This pin tests 14K gold but it is not marked.

This sterling Hobe bow pin has six (6) 8 mm stones and 5 hand applied ornamental buds around the three 8 mm stones on each side. The 8mm stones are purple, yellow, and blue. This Hobe pin is in excellent condition.

This Corocraft sterling jelly belly door knocker pin is 2 1/2" long x 1 5/16". This door knocker pin was patented in 1946 by G. Verrecchio.

This Hawaiian 3 D tiger shark tooth is 1" tall by 1 3/16ths" wide. There is some footprint type etchings on the front of the tooth. Tooth is in great condition.

The heart is 2 1/4" long by 2 1/8" wide plus the berries. This brings the total length of the pin to 3 1/2" in length. As you can see in the picture the wires are showing some wear. On the right side of the heart there appears a line with white shadow showing through the red. Considering it's age it has been well loved.

This white coral bracelet has 14K bead spacers. It is 7 1/2" long. The coral beads are approximately 3/8" in diameter.
