Striking Victorian banded agate earrings set in 15K gold. The brown and black tones make them wearable with any color. The earrings measure 1" in diameter and date to 1890.

The saucer has a diameter of 4 1/2 inches and the cup is 2 inches high. The porcelain is fine white bone china. It has molded decoration in the porcelain and the edges are slightly scalloped. The ground color is done in gold and ivory tones. There are colorful bouquets of flowers hand painted on both pieces...

This pair of porcelain plates was produced in England by Copelands China in the 1880s for the retailer J.E. Caldwell of Philadelphia. They measure 8 1/8 inches in diameter. The porcelain blanks are fluted and scalloped. One plate is pale blue and the other is white. They are decorated with an elaborate pattern of raised enamel beads and intricate gilding. They are an example of the splendor of porcelain in the “Gilded Age”...

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in Germany by KPM or Royal Berlin Porcelain Manufactory in the 1890s. The set is marked with the blue scepter underglaze and the red orb with cross overglaze indicating the porcelain and the painting took place at the factory. The saucer has a diameter of 4 3/4 inches and the cup is 2 1/8 inches high. The cup has a quatrefoil shape and the saucer has molded ridges that follow the contours of the cup...

This glass vase was produced in Bohemia 1870-1880 by Harrach. The vase is 8 inches high and the widest point has a diameter of 4 inches. The glass has a layer of pink glass over white opaline glass. It has three applied ball feet. It is hand enameled with a bird on a branch surrounded by flowers. The enameling is beautifully detailed with vibrant colors. There is a sprig of flowers on the back on the vase. The rim is trimmed with gilding that has black enamel accents...

A large pair of European 19thC porcelain figural centerpiece swan bowls. Made as dining room table decorations with an open center for flowers, fruit, etc., these large and beautifully detailed swans are possible German in origin (both are unmarked). They measure 12-1/2" long and they stand 10" high; they are finely detailed and are in a simple white glaze. They weigh approximately 4 pounds / a bit under 2 kilograms each...

A Large and Impressive Majolica Pitcher; a Cream Ground with Polychrome Decoration of Veined Leaves and a Tree Branch with a Bird (Robin) and a nest of three eggs; probably by James and Joseph Mayer of the Arsenal Pottery (Owned by James and Joseph Mayer from 1876 to 1905). Circa 1875-1890, Trenton New Jersey. Dimensions; 9" high x 6" across; weight 3 lbs. 10 ounces. Very fine condition.

A terrific folding paper knife, the body covered in the colorful “Caledonia” tartan. The blade is carved from bone and has a locking mechanism just as any other pocket knife would have. These are sometimes called fruit knives, but I’m reasonably certain they were intended for use as paper knives or letter openers. Tartanware became popular after Queen Victoria caused a rage for all things Scottish through her love of Scotland.

This pair of porcelain goblets or chalices was produced in England by Royal Worcester in the late 1870s. The mark goes off the edge of the porcelain not showing the date letter assigned to the year they were produced. The famous Worcester artisan, George Owen, was the first to perfect the art of double walled porcelain. The chalices are 7 ¾ inches high with a diameter of 3 5/8 inches at the opening. The outer layer of porcelain on the bodies is delicately pierced in honeycomb fashion...

Japanese silver box, ca 1890. Rectangular with straight sides and hinged cover. On cover top and box sides are chased and engraved iris flowers and tendrils in eddying water. Stippled ground. Box and cover interior lined with stained wood. Open bottom. Meiji-era Art Nouveau for the cosmopolitan West. Appears to be unmarked. Very good condition with deep patina.

This porcelain serving platter was produced in Germany by the Carl Thieme Dresden studio in the 1890s. It measures 11 1/4” long and 10” wide. The border has a reticulated pattern and there are handles on both sides. The platter has a bouquet of brilliantly colored flowers that were expertly hand painted. This porcelain basket was produced in Germany by Nymphenburg in the late 19th century. It is marked with an under glaze cobalt blue crown and shield. The basket measures 9 1/4 inches across the handles, 6 1/2 inches wide and is 2 3/4 inches deep. It features entwined handles and delicate reticulation. The interior of the basket is beautifully hand painted with colorful flowers. All of the reticulation is outlined in gold inside and out. It is a sweet and fragile reminder of by-gone eras.

Four serving dishes from the Poppelsdorf factory. Of segmented shape with gilt borders and hand painted decoration of fruit in lovely colours. The factory was working from 1888 to 1929, and the green printed mark of these dishes was in use 1875 to 1900. Width "7½/ 19,5 cm. Condition: some wear to one dish.

This pair of porcelain bottles with stoppers was produced in Germany by Lamm Dresden in the late 19th century. They are 5 inches high, including the stoppers. The porcelain bodies have flowers and scallops molded into them. They are hand painted with buttercup flowers and foliage. There is a blue butterfly on each bottle.
